Useful information
The actual dehumidifying performance always depends on the room temperature and humidity. It is rare to have 30°C and 90% humidity.
If you have a thermohygrometer, then you know that these are unrealistic laboratory conditions that can virtually never be reached in your home.
When comparing the performance of devices from different manufacturers, it is important to base your comparisons on the same temperature and humidity.


Dehumidifier capacity under typical operating conditions

If you use a compresser with a power of approx. 300 watt, you will realistically reach 12 litres a day. For realistic conditions (10°C - 25°C), depending on the humidity, approx. 10 to 12 liters of water are extracted per day.
Despite its higher power capability, the device does not use more energy than weaker, supposedly less expensive machines because it turns off automatically when the desired humidity level is reached. Weaker machines have to operate continuously with full power and do not have sufficient power for high humidity or low temperatures.
In practice, the dehumidifying capacity of such devices at low temerpatures tends to be almost zero.


Prevention instead of repair
The BIELMEIER Air Dehumidifier BHG 202 reduces air humidity safely and continuously, thereby preventing condensation, mould (from 70% rel. air humidity) or rust (from 60% rel. air humidity) on furniture, walls and devices. It precludes adverse health effects and costly renovations. Compare the costs of purchasing and operating the device (350 watt correspond to 8 cent per operation hour on average) to the high costs of removing mould and dealing with health problems.


Humidity is invisible, but the resulting damage is not...

Exceeding the safe humidity level for ambient air (40% to 60%) can lead to a variety of damages. The first noticeable warning signals are usually damp clothes, a musty smell and stained walls or germinating potatoes in basement rooms.
Expensive heating does not remedy this situation. The air gets warm, but remains moist! Simple airing is also no solution because it does not permanently extract moisture from ambient air. Dehumidifying with the BIELMEIER Air Dehumidifier BHG 202 is more effective and ultimately less expensive!
